This policy explains what personal information J & L Exterior Cleaning collects when you use this website, why we collect it, and your rights over it. We keep it short and plain.

Who we are

J & L Exterior Cleaning is a mobile exterior cleaning business serving Liverpool and the surrounding Merseyside areas. You can reach us at jlexteriorcleaning@icloud.com or on 07394 206345. For anything about your data, that is the address to use.

What we collect, and why

• Enquiries. When you use the contact form, the WhatsApp links or the chat assistant to ask for a quote or a clean, we collect the details you give us, such as your name, a phone number or email, and what you need doing. We use these only to reply to you and arrange the work.
• The chat assistant. The messages you type into the assistant on this site are sent to our hosting provider's AI service so it can write a reply. Please do not type card details or sensitive personal information into it. Your messages are not used to train AI models.
• The instant quote tool. To work out travel, the quote tool checks the rough distance to the postcode you enter, using a public postcode lookup service. Your postcode is only passed on to us if you choose to send us a message.
• Analytics. We use privacy-friendly analytics that count visits without cookies and without identifying you as a person.

Who else handles your data

We use a small number of trusted providers to run the site and reply to you:

• Cloudflare hosts the website and provides the AI that powers the chat assistant.
• Resend delivers your enquiry to us by email.
• postcodes.io looks up the distance to your postcode for the quote tool.
• Plausible provides cookie-free visitor analytics.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone else for marketing.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details only for as long as we need them to reply, carry out the work and keep a sensible record, then we delete them.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email jlexteriorcleaning@icloud.com and we will sort it. If you are not happy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
